The
Music Room
offers
private instruction of
piano, flute and beginning band instruments.
In addition to instrumental lessons, this music studio features a music
technology lab.
Lessons are reinforced with the use of educational programs and
internet web sites.
Students have the opportunity to compose and record their music via the
newest
programs available to us today.
The students of The Music Room range in age from
7 to 70+.
Music is a wonderful outlet for adults! Not only are you engaging
in an enjoyable activity, but also learning a new skill that will
keep the mind active in the years to come. Studies show
that music instruction "improved the mental capacity
in young children and the elderly." Children who
participate in musical activities have higher test
scores and are better socially adjusted then
their peers who do not.
Sounds interesting, but how must does it cost?
The fee for an every week, half hour lesson is $60 a month,
which is due the first lesson of the month.
The cost of books and supplies is additional.
I like for a piano student to have a lesson book, a music theory book,
and a performance or recital book. The age of the student
determines what books I choose.
The general cost of these books is $15-$20. As the student
progresses, additional music will
be used, such as: holiday books, popular music, sonatina books, hymns,
jazz music and other
music that may interest the student.
